Gebruik het href-attribuut om het linkdoel voor elk gebied in de imagemap op te geven:

Het hrefattribuut specificeert het hyperlinkdoel voor het gebied.

Als het hrefattribuut niet aanwezig is, is de <area>tag geen hyperlink.
